I'm back!

Hi again! I honestly have no idea where the title of this post came from. I am in a random sort of mood. The end of spring break is here and school starts again tomorrow. I am ALL caught up on homework (WAIT,... WHAT!!!??? I don't think I have ever been 100% caught up on homework, it feels fantastic) anyways,..... so I have a little free time to play and do some stuff for fun. (like update my blog)
So much is going on this week I am so excited. First of all my dear friend, Lizzy, got her mission call in the mail. She will be opening it tomorrow night and I am so excited to see where she will be going. I am so excited to see her grow and learn in the gospel. She is so amazing and I look up to her in so many ways. I love that kid!
This week I am playing in the student recital on Friday. I am playing a wonderful piece called Villanelle by Paul Dukas. It is so beautiful. It starts at two on Friday in the Thorley Recital Hall in the music building at SUU. :)
Anyways,.....  So last Thursday I was kinda having a crappy day. It was spring break and I was being a loner, busy working, and practicing. And out of nowhere my man showed up with roses and a box of chocolate. And the box looks like a pirate ship. He definitely made my day about a million times better!
well dear friends, that is all that is new in my fantastic life. There is only about a month left of school and I am all sorts of ready for a summer full of adventure! Peace out!

SPRING BREAK!!!

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I have posted. I get really busy then I forget that I even have a blog. hahahaha. I asked Katy to help me create a blog over spring break and now Tana has just reminded me that I have one. So here it is. Huzzah! Well, The Mikado is now over. For those of you who don't know Mikado, it is a comical opera. This musical has run my life for the past month or so. Rehearsal didn't get really intense until about the Saturday before opening night. We had a rehearsal from 10-5ish. By the end my bum was so SORE!!! The chairs at the Heritage Center are horrible. Anyways, moving on...... I love playing in orchestra pits. I could easily do it for a living (if I got paid that is). This past week has been a roller coaster. Running back and forth from class, work, rehearsal, and performances. But it was so much fun. I think the people who you spend all the time with in the pit can make or break the experience. And I got to be with some of my best friends. Which include Katy Garvin, Brandon Larsen, Dawnie Walker, Mike Wallace, Matt McClellan, and so forth. We definitely had a blast during rehearsal and performances. At Monday nights rehearsal Dawnie and I decided we need snackage. So we stocked up on Dr. Pepper, cheetos, and nutter butters. We had crossword puzzles, sudoku puzzles, and coloring books. Oh and the best part: SWEAT PANTS!! The rest of the week was such a blur. It went by so fast. And I was constantly on the go with classes till 6:30 in the evening and call time at 7. I was living the fast life (as I usually do).

My parents came into town on Friday for my dad's birthday. I was able to spend a little bit of time with them before the show started that night. They both came to see the show that night. (my dad and the opera really don't belong in the same sentence) but I am glad they came. It was fun to see them have a fun weekend. On Saturday My parents, boyfriend and I took a trip to St. George. We climbed around the narrows for a while and went out to dinner before I had to be back for the opera. This was the first time my dad was  able to meet Kris. And yes, they do like each other.
Now we are to spring break...... and most college students get to go home for a week, go on vacation, get away from school. You know, the basic spring break. But I have a wonderful job that makes me work all spring break. In a way I am grateful for it cause I can definitely use the money. BUT, this week is a little different..... Usually we do inventory during spring break. But last Thursday our entire system crashed so all the information since December has been lost. ALL OF IT! Purchase orders, receivings, prices, inventory numbers, etc. So this week is spent re-entering all sorts of information. My boss thinks we can get all of this done by Thursday morning so we can start inventory then,..... well by how far we got today (Monday) I highly doubt it. I don't know how we are going to do it. anyways, so my life during this spring break is spent fixing the bookstore system.

On a more positive note my best friend, Tana, is here to spend the week with me (and temporarily work at the bookstore to help us get back on our feet) that will make the week more fun. I am so excited to be able to spend this time with her.

Now that you are tired of reading this so I will bid you adieu.
